Day 4

We ate breakfast at the same chain of pancake place as we had found the previous day - but this one was nearer central park. We then went to Bloomingdales as I had a shopping list from Kate! We bought her a little and medium brown bag. Bloomingdales was fantastic, and the customer service was absolutely fantastic.

It was a beautiful sunny day so we got the subway to very top of central park in Harlem and walked from the top all of the way to the bottom. We stopped off at Belvedere Castle, the turtle pond and boating lake. It was beautiful! It gave us an insight into some of the characters that can be found in New York. The most memorable bits for us were a dog with proper little boots on and a cat that was out for a walk on a lead! So funny....
After walking most of the day we went into Times square for a wander and some souvenir shopping and then went to a place called Knickerbockers for dinner. We found it by searching Google and it was highly recommended and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. James got a filet mignon and it was huge - and very tasty! I would definitely go back to this place if we were in NY again.
